Kaisu

authentic Japanese experience at a low cost

Spring 2018

What is Kaisu?

Clean. Safe. and Quintessentially Japanese.

Kaisu is a hostel located in central Tokyo, Japan. It features 6-14 person dormitories, private rooms, a guest lounge, and a bar that serves guests and local community members.

The hostel caters towards young international travelers, either traveling alone or in small groups, usually on a lower budget. The age range is from late 10's to early 30's.

At Kaisu, there is a particular emphasis on Japanese hospitality, emphasized by their architecture and their Japanese garden that can be seen from many of the rooms, which I reflected in the design.
